So I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I’m looking forward to a productive, inspiring week. I have a few projects that I desperately want to start and finish in the next few days and I’m feeling pretty pumped to get them done. Here’s what’s on my list: breaking in a new-to-me sewing machine, putting together a desk/getting a proper work space set up for myself, hanging a few pictures that I’ve thrifted lately and lots of spring cleaning.
I want to paint our living room, and maybe the dining room as well – so we’re deciding on a paint color at the moment. The spaces don’t have a ton of natural light, so I want to brighten them up a bit. I’ve been perusing Apartment Therapy for some inspiration and here’s what I’ve found so far.
I love white walls, but sometimes I need a smidge of pigment. I’m testing a few samples of light hazelnut colors. What do you think? Are you a fan of bright white or do you need a splash of color?
Hi there! Yes, I know. It’s been months.
We’ve zoomed straight through Fall, and the Holidays, and now it’s a new year.
New beginnings. New goals. New blog posts!
Updating this space more frequently is one of my New Year’s goals, and I plan on keeping it.
So, come back frequently. =)
Goals are necessary. Goals are fun. Goals are Scary.
There’s always a fear of failure when you set goals. When you set out to achieve something and it invariably falls through, it can really crush your spirits. That’s why it’s doubly important to have motivation and a sense of accountability. So, I’m taking to the bloglands for this one! I’m making a goal right here and now to run a 5k in September. September 17th to be exact. As someone who has never ran a single mile in my life, I think this will be quite the accomplishment. I’ve had the vague notion to lose weight for a while (forever?), but always end up flailing about without doing much damage to my waistline. Dave Ramsey insists time after time that you have to be very specific in setting goals. So, I’ve found a regimen called Couch to 5k (appropriate, no?) and I’m sticking to it, by golly.
I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
